Take I-75 to Exit 131 – Daniel’s Parkway. Turn West onto Daniel's Parkway, and drive for 4.5 miles to FL-865 (Six Mile Cypress/Ben C. Pratt Parkway). Turn left onto Six Mile Cypress/Ben C. Pratt Parkway and drive for 4.5 miles to Summerlin Road and take the left exit ramp onto FL-869 (Summerlin Road). Stay on Summerlin Road for 8 miles. The road will end at the Sanibel-Captiva Island Causeway toll booth. Pay the $6.00 toll and cross the 3 mile causeway onto Sanibel Island. When you get to the 4-way stop sign, yield right onto Periwinkle Way. Continue on Periwinkle Way for 2.5 miles and turn right onto Palm Ridge Road. Continue 0.5 miles to the four way stop. Go straight through stop sign onto Sanibel Captiva Road. Stay on Sanibel-Captiva Road for 7 miles and cross Blind Pass Bridge onto Captiva Island (the road becomes Captiva Drive). Continue on Captiva Drive for 3.5 miles through the village center to the entrance of South Seas Resort which will be on your right.
From the Southwest Florida International Airport:
Distance: 35 miles
Exit Airport (follow signs for I-75) and turn right onto Treeline Ave. Continue 2 miles to Daniel’s Parkway – ensure you are in the left hand lane. Turn left onto Daniel’s Parkway and drive for 4.5 miles to Six Mile Cypress/Ben C. Pratt Parkway – ensure you are in the left hand lane. Turn left onto Six Mile Cypress/Ben C. Pratt Parkway and drive for 4.5 miles to Summerlin Road. Take the left exit ramp onto FL-869 (Summerlin Road). Stay on Summerlin Road for 8 miles. By Water:
- In the new channel there is a 7 foot controlled depth
- New channel STARTS just north of ICW (intra-coastal waterway) Red marker #38 (about 25 yards North)
- First alternate channel marker will be a RED #24
- Keep the RED markers to PORT (left)
- Keep the Green markers to STARBOARD (right)
- The alternate channel will head West South West and at marker #19 and #20 the channel will turn to the North West towards Redfish Pass
- Keep the RED markers to PORT (left)
- Keep the Green markers to STARBOARD (right)
- Once the boat reaches marker #10 and #11 in the alternate channel, South Seas Marina will be on the left
Direction for Boaters coming from the Gulf of Mexico (Through Redfish Pass)
- Do NOT follow GPS on boat or boating charts. This pass is local knowledge only. There is between 8 feet and 30 feet of water coming through Redfish Pass.
- There are 3 FLOATING markers outside of Redfish Pass. Green #1, Red #4 and Green #5.
- To pick up the Green #1 the boat must be 1 mile due west of Redfish Pass.
- Once you locate the 1st Green #1, put the Green floating marker to Port (left) and take a compass heading of 90 degrees East.
- Once the boat comes through Redfish Pass head South along the Sea wall for about 400 yards. You will pass Green #7 (to port) Green #9 (to port).
- South Seas Marina will be on the right .
The first dock on your right as you enter the Yacht Harbour is A Dock. The docks continue
alphabetically until the last dock which is Q Dock. The Harbour Masters office and fuel docks are
located at the ends of D and E docks.
